Sourdough French Toast

This dish is made with love and created by Chef Jess Sagun of Winna's Kicthen. You can find it — grilled to perfection — on her menu with a side of sausage or bacon.

Ingredients
4 Pieces
Day-old Sourdough Bread (About a 1/4 inch thick)

Whole Eggs
1/2 cup
Heavy Cream
1 tablespoon
Sugar
2 teaspoons
Vanilla
1 teaspoon
Cinnamon
1 Pinch
Salt
Instructions
Step 1
Mix Ingredients
Mix together eggs, cream, sugar, vanilla, salt and cinnamon until thoroughly combined, and there is no separation.
Step 2
Soak in Mixture
Soak bread in mixture on each side for at least a full minute.
Step 3
Cook in Skillet
Cook in a well-buttered and pre-heated skillet on medium high heat until puffy and golden brown.
Step 4
Serve & Enjoy!
Serve with maple syrup or honey and butter.
